http://mc14.wordpress.com/members/mc-coordinator-qualifications/

also as a side note: how coordinators are chosen will depend on how many folks are interested in becoming an MC coordinator.

also, as another side note: the decision to have an intern for MC lies with the COORDINATORS.

if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment, or just ask one of the coordinators when y’all see us or hit us up via facebook (:

PS- interviews will most likely be conducted during “dead week”; June 2-6, 2008 (M-F)

5 more days until MC!

Greetings Everyone!

Last Thursday (May 1st) we had our “MC14: MANDATORY Volunteer Orientation” at the Oakes Guzman Room from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We had a great turnout, and the feedback we’ve been getting has been GREAT!.. so far (:

5 more days left until MC! Aren’t y’all excited?

To PARTICIPANTS:
- The deadline to pre-register online is MONDAY May 5, 2008 at 7:00pm
- All student questionnaires & overnight liability waivers that have been submited by TUESDAY May 6, 2008 at 6:00pm will need to be given to the GREETER (at your specific pick-up location) before boarding the charter bus/ charter van/ van.

To (possible) VOLUNTEERS:
- If you did not attend the volunteer orientation on Thursday, and didn’t let one of the coordinators know, but still want to help out (and be able to interact with participants).. there’s still hope! Ruel was able to record what Leo, our SOAR advisor, said during the meeting. If you can contact us via e-mail (MC14.ucsc@gmail.com) and let us know you’d like to hear the recording, then hopefully sometime on Monday or Tuesday we can set something up.
- If you did not attend the volunteer orientation and cannot make it Monday/ Tuesday to hear the recording, and still want to volunteer … the only tasks you will be delegated will be: set-up, clean-up/ other tasks that does not involve direct interaction with participants.

Updates to website:
- Updated the “Registration Forms” page
- – Added the missing “download” links
- – Added “To bring list,” “Student Quotes,” & “MC14 Flyer”

Alrighty, folks.. see y’all THURSDAY (and some of you earlier)!

Updates:

Greetings Everyone!

Just a few quick updates:
- MC Meetings are weekly: Thursday’s 6-8PM. Locations are always changing b/c no one venue (that we like) is free every Thursday
- Committees have started meeting outside the weekly MC spaces & once we find out when weekly meetings we will post it on the “Committees” page
- Every committee has a point person (except family b/c a point person isn’t necessary)
- We started having “MC minutes” so look out for those (unfortunately we were unable to take minutes at our last meeting)
- If you missed a meeting, we encourage you to talk to one of the coordinators or interns to find out what you missed

Also a couple of reminders:
- ALL VOLUNTEERS must fill out a volunteer registraton form (showing up to meetings & signing-in isn’t “enough”)
- Check your e-mails, we e-mail out reminders for weekly meeting places & other misc information pertaining to MC
- If you’re interested in helping Krizia contact schools/ programs/ community centers please be at e^2 between 12pm and 3pm. e^2 is located next to the “Student Union,” above the e^2 redwood lounge, above the Bike co-op. Please e-mail MC14.ucsc@gmail.com is you have any questions or call the e^2 office at (831)459-1744

Next weeks meeting:
Thursday April 24, 2008
@ The Guzman Room (Oakes, next to the Cafe, beneath Oakes Learning Center)
time: 6:30PM – 8:30PM

*peace
